Chambers 2023: Doyle Clayton continues to receive recognition at both team and individual level

The 2023 edition of the Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession has been published and it’s been an excellent year for Doyle Clayton.

Our Immigration team receives fantastic reviews

We are delighted to have been ranked for our Business Immigration work in Band 4. Led by Anita de Atouguia, the team is expanding rapidly and has been recognised for providing clear and timely advice:

“Doyle Clayton gives clear, up-to-date information and advice in order to help clients navigate the complexities of immigration issues. The team is great at giving alternative solutions to challenges clients may face.”

“Anita de Atouguia just 'gets it'. She is very easy to deal with, has very good client-care skills and is able to translate complex matters in a simple way that is easy for businesses to follow.”

Malini Skandachanmugarasan is also recommended for personal immigration work, with her attentiveness and responsiveness being highlighted:

“Malini is helpful, responsive and always able to help with any queries clients may have.”

Our Employment team receives both group and individual recognition

Our Employment team continues to perform strongly, with Reading retaining its top ranking, and London being ranked for its work for both employers and senior executives. Their experience and range of expertise as well as their collaborative thinking and business led approach, were just some of the qualities which were highlighted:

“The team at Doyle Clayton have a diverse set of skills and knowledge areas and work collaboratively to meet our needs.”

“They work in a very holistic and connected manner, ensuring that their advice is given with key legal business goals in mind.”

Our team also received several individual rankings, with Peter De Maria and Tina Wisener receiving top band 1 rankings for senior executive and employment work, respectively. James Anderson and Piers Leigh-Pollitt also received rankings, whilst Dan Begbie-Clench is again recommended for his work for employers.

“Peter De Maria is an exceptionally able High Court litigator. He is tactically astute and knows all the tricks in the playbook.”

“Tina applies her extensive experience extremely effectively; she is always commercial in her approach and she's realistic in the solutions she delivers.”

“Dan Begbie-Clench has provided exceptional advice. He is able to cut through complexity without compromising quality.”

Five team members were highlighted as ‘associates to watch’, with Adam Murdoch, Kate Kapp, Katie Mahoney, Naomi Jameson and Robert Maddox making the list, with Robert being named as a Star Associate for his work with senior executives.

The team received praise for client management, level of service, and knowledge and expertise:

“Adam has provided a top-class service. He is very knowledgeable, calm and organised.”

“Kate leaves me and my team feeling reassured, supported and in possession of the knowledge and information needed to approach even the most complex issues.”

“Katie is at the top of her game. She is thoroughly on top of the detail of each case she works on with a sharp commercial mind. She also has strong ambassadorial skills in dealing with senior individual clients.”

Robert “….is an excellent lawyer and a solid performer. He is someone who is very pragmatic and has a good handle on the law and will give good solid advice.”

Our Education team continues its success

The Education team continues its success and has been recognised once again for its work with individuals. The team is led by Head of Education, Simon Henthorn, who is ranked for his work with both individuals and schools, and Liz Timmins has been named again as an Associate to watch.

“All communication with Doyle Clayton is prompt, reducing the stress of the situation. I receive cohesive advice at each stage from experts in the field.”

“Simon is outstanding. He is professional and caring while maintaining focus on what needs to be achieved.”
