Robert joins our City office as an Associate in our Employment team having previously worked and qualified at Bindmans LLP.

Robert has a broad employment law practice advising both employers and individuals on contentious and non-contentious issues. He takes a strategic and pragmatic approach focusing on achieving the clients desired outcomes. 

Robert is a noted specialist in discrimination and whistleblowing claims, and in dealing with matters involving senior employees and executives. He also regularly advises companies and individuals on disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes, internal investigations, settlement negotiations and termination of employment. He advises across all sectors with a particular focus on financial services, legal, healthcare, academia and education, and media.

  • Lord Chancellor v McCloud & Ors [2018] EWCA Civ 2844 - Representing a group of Court of Appeal and High Court judges in a successful discrimination challenge to changes to their pension scheme. This matter reached Supreme Court level and has been extensively reported in The Times, Law Society Gazette, Financial Times, amongst other publications
  • Kocur v Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd & Royal Mail Plc [2022] EWCA Civ 189 - Court of Appeal challenge to the interpretation of Reg 13 of the Agency Workers Regulations 2013 and the scope of an agency worker's right to be notified of job vacancies at the client
  • Shittu v South London and Maudsley NHS Trust [2022] EAT 18 - Employment Appeal Tribunal challenge to a Tribunal's findings on level of compensation awarded to a successful claimant
