The Government has now published its Guidance, which will assist employers and recruitment agencies in their preparations for the introduction of the Agency Worker Regulations 2010 in October.  The new Regulations are being introduced in order to satisfy the requirements of the European Union’s Directive.  For a summary of the Regulations please click here

The Guidance is a useful tool.  It provides a “quick start guide”, which sets out the enhanced entitlements agency workers will soon have and also a summary of what the Regulations will mean from the perspective of the hirer, the agency worker and also the recruitment agency.

A copy of the Guidance can be found on the BIS website (www.bis.gov.uk).
