National Minimum Wage Increases 1 April
The National Minimum Wage rates increase from 1 April 2017.
The new rates are as follows:
- national living wage (workers aged 25 and over): £7.50 (up from £7.20)
- standard adult rate (workers aged 21-24): £7.05 (up from £6.95)
- development rate (workers aged 18-20): £5.60 (up from £5.55)
- young worker rate (under 18 but above compulsory school age): £4.05 (up from £4.00)
- apprentice rate: £3.50 (up from £3.40).
The accommodation offset is £6.40 each day (up from £6.00).
