David advises on a wide range of workplace matters with a particular emphasis on restructuring projects and the discreet and successful resolution of senior executive disputes.
David has acted on a broad range of high value and complicated restructurings and reorganisations during his career, both in the private and public sector. His recent experience includes the amalgamation of the management structures of two national hotel chains, the demerger of a regional further education college, and the purchase of a £68.5 million run off motor insurance business. During his career he has been involved as the lead employment lawyer on major PFI projects including the outsourcing of Glasgow City Council’s IT services under a ten year £265 million secondment model contract as well as international transactions and co-ordinating advice across multiple jurisdictions.
David is also noted for his successful and discreet resolution of senior executive disputes, negotiating severance packages, drafting and interpreting bonuses and incentive arrangements and with the experience of acting on both sides of the fence.
