Our experienced business immigration lawyers can help to guide you through the UK's immigration procedures
Our experienced business immigration lawyers are able to provide prompt, efficient and cost-effective advice to businesses wishing to employ overseas nationals.
Many employers rely on being able to hire people from outside the UK or Europe to ensure their workforce has the best skills, experience and qualifications. Recruitment from overseas is often essential for positions where there is a skills shortage in the UK or where specialist language skills are needed. Individuals are often keen to come to the UK to work, set up a business or study. However, for employers whose main aim is to ensure that their new employee is able to start work quickly and move to the UK with as little stress as possible, UK immigration law and procedures can often seem unduly complex and complicated.
Our specialist team has a wealth of experience in all areas of business immigration law including the points based system (PBS) and keep abreast of the latest developments in order to guide clients through the immigration process. We have expertise in relation to applications under each tier of the PBS and in particular advise our clients on applying for sponsorship licences and issuing certificates of sponsorship (Tier 2, which includes the general skilled category and the intra-company transfer category).
We can provide training on immigration best practice and undertake immigration "health checks" for your business. These services are of particular use to companies on the Home Offices' Register of Sponsors or those organisations which wish to become sponsors. In this way we can ensure that you are compliant with the UK's illegal working laws/sponsorship duties and are protecting the business as far as possible. We can also help mitigate problems should you discover employees who do not have permission to work in the UK.
As an added value to our clients we have an arrangement with the Home Office allowing us to submit certain types of immigration applications by booking appointments in advance. Such applications will usually be processed that day saving you or your employee from wasting valuable time queuing at the Home Office, or having to submit postal applications which take weeks to process.
