The team has experience of all forms of UK based pension arrangements, advising employers, trustees and intermediaries. They have a deep understanding of a broad range of scheme types, including defined benefit (final salary and career average schemes), defined contribution hybrid schemes.
We can also provide support on other workplace pension arrangements such as contractual or policy based arrangements, small self-administered schemes, self-invested personal pensions, life assurance only schemes and obligations under the 'auto-enrolment' regime for workplace pensions.
We have detailed knowledge of the special rules on pensions which apply in the public sector in particular in relation to the protection of pension benefits where staff are transferred to the private sector.
Our approachable team is led by Andrew Campbell. Andrew has over 10 years’ experience, gained at two major City law firms, advising corporates and trustees on the full range of pensions issues across advisory, transactional and contentious matters.
Along with the team he will cover a full range of issues including drafting an amending scheme documentation, advising on pension funding issues, compliance, benefit changes and regulatory matters. Andrew also advises on pensions implications of corporate transactions and re-organisations, including pension issues arising under TUPE transfers.
