Business immigration law and UK visas

Our experienced business immigration and immigration lawyers can help to guide you through the UK's immigration procedures

Our Business Immigration and Immigration service

Our specialist business immigration and immigration solicitors provide prompt, efficient and cost-effective advice to organisations wishing to employ overseas nationals.

Many employers rely on being able to hire people from outside the UK or Europe to ensure their workforce has the best skills, experience and qualifications. Recruitment of non EEA nationals from overseas is often essential for positions where there is a skills shortage in the UK or where specialist language skills are needed. Individuals are often keen to come to the UK to work, set up a business or study.

From our first contact we found Doyle Clayton professional, approachable and immediately able to give us clear and concise advice, coupled with managing the whole application with speed and accuracy. They clearly have very high standards of service and competency in this type of work and we would have no hesitation in recommending them.

However, if your main aim is to ensure that your new employees are able to start work quickly and move to the UK with as little stress as possible, UK immigration law and procedures can often seem unduly complex and complicated.

Certificates of sponsorship and the points based system

Our specialist team has a wealth of experience in all areas of business immigration law including the points based system (PBS) and keep abreast of the latest developments so that they can guide clients through the immigration process. We have expertise in relation to applications under each tier of the PBS including applications for investors and entrepreneurs under Tier 1. We have a wealth of experience in advising clients on applying for sponsor licences and issuing certificates of sponsorship (under Tier 2 of PBS, which includes the general skilled category and the intra-company transfer category). We have a 100% success rate for our clients’ sponsor licence applications and know how to expedite matters when required.

Training and immigration health checks to help you safeguard your business

We can provide training on immigration best practice and undertake immigration "health checks" for your business. In this way we can ensure that you are compliant with the UK's illegal working laws/sponsorship duties and are protecting your business as far as possible. We can also help mitigate problems should you discover employees who do not have permission to work in the UK.

These services are of particular use to companies on the Home Office's Register of Sponsors or those organisations which wish to become sponsors.

Special arrangement with the Home Office

Over the years we have developed special contacts at the Home Office who in the majority of cases help expedite applications if there is a strong business case.

We can arrange to submit certain types of immigration applications by booking Public Enquiry (PEO) appointments in advance. Such applications will usually be processed that day, saving you from wasting valuable time queuing at the Home Office or having to submit postal applications which take weeks to process.
