Our dedicated Immigration team are specialists in all areas of Immigration law and have particular expertise in individual immigration matters for high-net worth individuals.
We understand that as an individual you may need advice on the broader issues, including the law, and can provide strategic planning and tailor-made advice for your particular circumstances and/or business needs from the start.
Foreign nationals looking to work and stay in the UK may not be able or want to find an employer to sponsor them under the Points Based System ("PBS"). We can assess your immigration needs and advise on non-sponsored routes, both under the PBS and outside the PBS.
In particular, we offer expert knowledge and expertise in relation to applications for Tier 1 Investor and Entrepreneur migrants. Tier 1 Investor visa applications are for high net worth individuals who are able to make a substantial financial investment in the UK. Tier 1 Entrepreneur visas are for individuals setting up or taking over and being actively involved in the running of one or more businesses in the UK.
Non PBS Routes
We also provide advice on other non-sponsored work routes outside the PBS such as the Sole Representative of an Overseas Business, Settlement (Indefinite Leave to Remain) and UK Ancestry. We advise on applications under European law such as EEA family permits, Residence cards, Registration certificates, Posted worker and Van der Elst visas and can assist with Turkish Association Agreements and permission for Croatian nationals. We also advise on British citizenship, British passports and Right of Abode (Certificate of Entitlement) applications.
Dependant (family) applications plus staff visas
At the same time as assisting you with your Tier 1 application we can advise you on the appropriate practical steps to bring your trusted advisers, professional and/or domestic staff into the UK.
We can also help with dependant applications (both overseas and in-country) for all immigration categories.
We can assist with complex cases which fall outside the Immigration Rules and use our expertise and knowledge to create solutions by thinking outside the box. In particular, we help with applications for spouse/partner/children of British nationals, which has become an exceptionally complex area since the changes to the family migration rules on 9 July 2012.
Special arrangement with the Home Office
Over the years we have developed special contacts at the Home Office who in the majority of cases help expedite applications if there is a strong business case.
We can arrange to submit certain types of immigration applications by booking Public Enquiry (PEO) appointments in advance. Such applications will usually be processed that day, saving you from wasting valuable time queuing at the Home Office or having to submit postal applications which take weeks to process.
