Employment Tribunal Decisions Now Online
It is now possible to access employment tribunal decisions online.
The Government announced back in June 2016 that it would be introducing an online database of employment tribunal decisions. Despite its assertion that the database would initially only cover new decisions, it in fact includes some decisions going back to June 2015 although it is not clear how these have been selected. The online service covers judgments in England and Wales and Scotland and you can search by name, type of claim and date or by using specific words or phrases.
The availability of decisions online is a factor that employers will wish to take into account when considering possible settlement, as it is a resource which is likely to be of great interest to current staff, job applicants and the media, as well as competitors.
