Doyle Clayton Associate to represent ELA in review of the 'Fit Note'

Posted on Dec 20, 2010

Associate Esther Langdon has been selected by the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) to work on a project with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) reviewing the impact of the Statement of Fitness for Work (the fit note) now that it has been ‘live’ for 6 months.

The DWP has set up a group of employer, medical and employee representatives to help them monitor the effect of the fit note and identify issues and potential solutions.

Esther will assist Sue Ashtiany in representing ELA, after having been involved in drafting its initial response to the consultation on this.

The first meeting of the review group will take place in late January 2011.
