On 21 December the UK Border Agency announced its decision to close the Tier 1 route for applications made overseas from midnight on 22 December and to set a limit on the number of Certificates of Sponsorship available to licensed Tier 2 sponsors under Tier 2(General) until 5 April 2011.
Owen Jones, who heads up our Business Immigration team, was invited in to the BBC studios in London and was interviewed on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and BBC Radio 5’s Wake up to Money, where he explained the Government’s decision and its likely consequences for UK business.
